SkilledGigs.com appears to bridge the gap between homeowners and skilled laborers. While this is not an unfilled niche it certainly is not one which appears to be over saturated either. The programming on this site appears to be unique and there certainly is plenty of profit potential. The site is exploitable for gain, but I think you would have to be long term oriented.

Currently the site is making about $500 per month from adsense earnings. While adsense is fine I believe that there is far more potential here. The owner should do away with adsense entirely as it cheapens the interface. Instead they should focus on promoting the site at a loss with an end goal of flipping to a more established player. Yes, this is a risky proposition, but it only takes a small amount of market share to become a threat to your competition.

Primarily I would focus this site on gaining market share. As a secondary effort I would switch the monetization method to local advertising. If you are showing listings in 40 different areas you could easily charge $200 per month per geo targeted ad and generate $8,000 per month from the site. However, growth should be their first focus.
